Subject: Development of electronic system for processing and authorizing the pension

Attention is invited to CPAO Circular No. CPAO/IT&Tech/Master Data/14.Vol-III(A)/2020-21/38 dated 21.09.2020 (copy enclosed) on the subject mentioned above. In this regard, no reply has been received yet.

2. It is once again suggested that your department may also initiate the process for electronic submission of pension documents for sanction and authorization of pension as being done in the Central Civil Ministries for the pensioners covered under CCS (Pension) Rules to facilitate the pensioners and realize the mission of Digital India.

3. The system can be developed by your departments as per the applicable pension rules or the existing systems of Bhavishya and PFMS may be customized as per the needs of your Department/ Office for sanctioning and authorizing the pension cases and its onward transmission to CPAO electronically. If required, the technical teams of DP&PW and CGA may be contacted for all necessary technical support under intimation to CPAO.

This issues with the approval of the Chief Controller of Pensions.
