Uttar Pradesh government will recruit 5,500 doctors through state Public Service Commission to strengthen medical services and ensure adequate availability of doctors at health centers.
A proposal in this regard has been sent to the commission. This was disclosed by State Health and Family Welfare Minister, Ahmad Hasan in Lukhnow yesterday.
He said, the government is also cosidering directly recruiting doctors to overcome the shortage.
The minister said, paramedical staff, nurse, midwife and vacant posts of the other workers, will also be filled up soon.
